as pilots flying in Okanogan County can be part of the future for airports, public and private, in our area. Staff from the Planning Department for the County of Okanogan will again be present to facilitate discussion for the initial draft of the
aviation overlay for the County Comprehensive Plan. Your voice is important in this updating of the County Comprehensive Plan. We will review the AIRPORT OVERLAY VISION document and the AIRPORT ZONE example from Kittitas County. IF YOU DID NOT GET A COPY OF THESE TWO DOCUMENTS AT THE FEBRUARY MEETING, LET MONICA KNOW.

UPCOMING EVENTS: The Longterm Air Transportation Study (LATS) in Washington State is open for public review and comment of the draft. There is a LATS public meeting on March 26th at the Spokane Airport Ramada. Time: Held between 4pm and 6pm. Next step after the public comment period (over April 17th) is on to the Governor and Legislature. YOUR voice is needed to keep flying viable in Washington.
